Charity fund-raising in 2004/05

Steventon Choral Society again supported local charities during the 2004/05 season with three concerts raising a total of £1,914.

Our Christmas concert, Winter Wonderland, on Saturday 18th December 2004 raised £792 for the Sue Ryder Hospice at Nettlebed, Henley-on-Thames.

Two separate performances of our Spring Concert on Sunday 20th March and Saturday 16th April 2005 produced £212 for the Organ Fund at St Michael & All Angels Church, Steventon, and £910 for the the Restoration Fund at St Michael & All Angels Church, Letcombe Bassett.

The choir also performed a short programme of songs from the shows during the Blue Ginger Tsunami Fund Raising Day on Sunday 13th March 2005 in Steventon Village Hall, which raised around £2,500 for the disaster appeal.

On Saturday 4th December 2004, Steventon Choral Society were guests at the Wantage Silver Band Christmas Concert in Wantage Civic Hall, helping the Band to raise some £400 for its new band hall fund.
